Built a new web server if anybody cares.
Windows XP x64 AMD Phenom 9150e Quad-Core 1.80 Ghz 4GB RAM
For those of you who still check in, I miss you guys! My number is still the same if ya'll wanna say howdy. Anybody hear of a decent game that rivals DC? I know this won't interest a lot of you but I hear there is a bf1943 coming. I wonder if there will be a good mod for this.

| POE2 BF2 Mod Release |

Many of us from the DC community lost interest in the combat gamers community since the release of BF2. BF2's release was greatly anticipated for over a year before it's release. Unfortunately it didn't have the same exciting qualities of the Desert Combat mod for BF1942. BF1942's DC mod was so good, in fact, most of us forgot it was actually a mod. BF2 was supposed to be like DC but better. As we all discovered, it was and it wasn't. With every improvement there were several shortfalls and bugs to be discovered as well as taking a lot of the skill (crap AA and inaccurate guns led to C4, grenade, and claymore spam) out of the game. It also took away covert ops and being sneaky out of the game with commander mode. Don't get me started on the gay artillery or how BF2 defined 'conquest maps'. Not only that, it seemed that with every patch to fix something, they broke no less than 3 other things.
POE2 will hopefully fix this. It will put the skill and fun into what was a potentially awesome game. Sometimes game authors try to hard to provide a great game but fall short where it counts. Adding things which seem really cool technically and are put in simply because 'it CAN be done' shouldn't override the 'fun of the game' aspect. POE2 does just that and removes a lot of the noskill-noob tactics and once again allows skill and tactics make their return. there are already thousands of people downloading this mod on it's first day of release which looks very promising for POE2.
